Start from Scratch

Start Here: How JustReminisce Works

JustReminisce is your personal memory timeline — organised by the places you’ve been and the people you met there.

  • View Public Groups as a Free subscriber.
  • Create Public, Private or Hidden Group’s (like your old school, workplace, or neighbourhood).
  • Add a Timeline Memory Entry for one of your created groups.
  • Use Test my Memory to reconnect names, faces, and details over time. Choose to share your memories to reminisce, help remember past acquaintances and share media.

Everything starts private by default — you stay in control.
Remember. Log. Relive.

1) Create Your Account

To start saving memories and reconnecting with others, you’ll need an account.

  • Click Join Now (from the Login Screen)
  • Enter your details and create a password.
  • Confirm your email (if prompted).
  • Log in to access your Profile and Groups.

🔒 Privacy first: your memory content is private by default — you decide what’s shared and with whom.

2) Join a Public Group

Groups are the heart of JustReminisce. Think of them as shared spaces like:

  • Schools & colleges
  • Workplaces
  • Clubs & teams
  • Neighbourhoods & communities

To join:

  • Go to My Groups.
  • Click on the Public Tab.
  • Search or browse for a place from your past.
  • Click Join Group.
  • Post pictures, comment or just browse group memories.

Can’t find it? Create a new Group and start building it.

3) Open Private & Hidden Groups – Your Personal Memories

Private and Public Group’s include your Memories— this is where your timeline lives.

  • Go to My Groups
  • Click on either the Private Tab or Hidden tab
    • Private Tab Memories – Members can search for and request to join your memory.
    • Hidden Tab Memories – are hidden from searches.
  • Select the group that you want to create memories in (which will open a new page).

4) Add Your First Timeline Memory

This is where your timeline starts.

  • Click Add New Memory.
  • Add a Memory Name (e.g. “First day at college”).
  • Write a short description (anything you can recall).
  • Choose Date From (and Date To if it lasted a period).
  • Click Create New Memory.
  • A new timeline entry will appear in date order.

💡 You can edit or delete timeline memories entries anytime.

5) My Memories Test Page(s)

Each memory on the timeline includes a Test my Memory – Let’s go! button — this opens a personal memory test page designed to help you reconnect names, faces, and details.

On your memory test page you can:

  • To enter your new memory on your timeline, click Test My Memory – lets go!
  • You are now on your Memories Test Page.
  • Create unlimited Memory tables connected to the timeline entry.
  • Add people you remember (names + details).
  • Mark them as Correct, Unsure, or Come back to.
  • Edit and improve it over time as more comes back.

This page is unique to you and that specific memory, so you can return anytime and build it up gradually.

6) Track Your Progress

As you fill things in, JustReminisce helps you see progress at a glance, like:

  • How many people you’ve added.
  • How many you’re confident about.
  • What still needs revisiting.

It’s a simple way to watch your memory grow over time.

7) Add Photos & Media

Media brings memories to life.

  • Upload photos/videos connected to a Group or a specific Memory.
  • Add captions or notes so future-you remembers the story.
  • Keep everything organised around the right moment in time.

Your media stays linked to the memories that matter.

8) Reconnect With People

Once your timeline takes shape, reconnecting becomes easier.

  • Search for people from your past.
  • Message them directly.
  • Invite them to the same Group.
  • Compare memories and fill in the gaps together.

The goal is simple: one memory at a time.

You’re Ready

You don’t need to do everything in one go.

  • Add one memory today.
  • Build your timeline at your own pace.
  • Join more Groups as you go.

Every memory you log makes the past a little more meaningful.
